When rear ended by life, God provides

The Dealership  We all know the shock of being rear ended by unexpected trials in life, but there is hope! On May 27, 2026, very recently, I was rear ended hard! All kinds of emotions surfaced. I was concerned about the pain I was experiencing, but the emergency room said I had no broken bones, just very sore muscles.  Thank God! I had a 2015 vehicle with low mileage that ran great, so I wasn't motivated to seek out another car. Then my car was totaled, therefore I had to go find another one. I found one at the dealership with updated safety features and technology. This prompted me to think of God as the Dealership, as well as being the Creator and Owner. Here people depend on the salesperson and the mechanic to help move about in life. God contains all we need, that is, what people seek can be found in this "dealership". We all want to find something to take us from point A to point Z. From birth un...

Hello!

This is my first time blogging. The Spirit within me has been tapping my shoulder and bopping my head to share my reflections, poems and prayers with others.

So let me introduce where I'm coming from. Since I was very young, I've felt the presence of God in my life. Then, when I was 16 and living at home, smoking a cigarette in the bathroom, so I wouldn't get caught (I quit cold turkey later), when out of nowhere, an intense surge of energy cursed through my body. It was so strong it brought me to my knees. I instantly knew it was God. I ran out to tell my mother I wanted to be a nun (as I was raised Catholic). But I quickly changed my mind because I wanted to be married and have kids.

This event led me in my spiritual journey to get to know and experience the Divine Creator in wonderful ways. I have since then felt the presence of God as energy within me recognizing the Holy One as the source of these feelings enhancing my spirituality.

Though I've experienced many serious health issues in my life, including chronic migraines, cancer, a kidney transplant, a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction and other surgeries, my faith grew, expanded and evolved.

I see God in everything, and in everyone, regardless of their faith or lack thereof. I believe various faiths and practices are all simply different facets of the same jewel. The Divine reaches us in our journey where we are in life.

My husband Mike and I shared our spirituality. Though his faith journey was very different from mine, God was the glue that kept us together. We experienced God in the ordinary, but also in the extraordinary, such as when I had cancer and our young crepe myrtle bloomed for the first time. The flowers were in the shape of a cross!

I've written for many years, and when I gave my handwritten reflections to a friend to type, approximately two hundred pages, their house was destroyed by fire and my writing went up in smoke. I was happy my friends were okay, but I was angry and frustrated with God. What was the point, I asked, and the answer in my soul and heart was "keep writing", and I did. Now I would like to share what I've been inspired to write.

May my words bring you comfort, joy or insight and possibly help you in your own spiritual journey. And may the spirit of God plant seeds that will grow into beautiful encounters with the Divine Within.

Why God?

I was recently asked, why? And I thought, what would God say about this question. Life is a rocky road to travel and all of us grapple with difficulties. Some more pronounced than others. It may seem like God is asleep in the boat during the storm, but if we consider and awaken the divine within we will find some solace. Many in our current situation ask this question and this is what I imagined God would tell us.                      WHY? Why do bad things happen  to good people Is an existential question Why my God, why? God says I am Love And Love doesn't desire harm I created you for goodness But I want you to have Free will and independence So you may choose me freely Life is difficult and random As it unfolds Rely on me  Learn from me And I will give you rest In the midst of pain I will hold you in suffering I understand I will comfort you Cry with you And walk with you In this journey called life In this step...

Joined together in Love

Next week will be my wedding anniversary, and just like two roses are joined on a rosebush, Mike and I were joined together with God as our center.  After Michael died, I wanted to write him a poem.  I asked for  inspiration from the Spirit and from Mike as I had never written a poem and this came to my soul:           TO MIKE My heart is heavy my grief intense  my tears roll down my face now like little rivers seeking the ocean We were magical together for a lifetime of love and joy We were like two peas in a pod surrounded by God We were two pieces of a puzzle joined together in a bigger picture You breathed my air and stroked my hair  You held my hand and took my tears away Now you are dancing with the angels exploring the universe with the Divine You are alive in a realm of wonders I asked you for a sign that you will always be mine You reassure me of your love as I close my eyes and dance with you when dragonflies, birds and ...

Lent means Spring

Ash Wednesday  Today is the beginning of Lent which means "Spring". Spring is the time of year where dead things come to life. It means that the seeds that were buried in the ground during the winter grow into flowers. Dead tree limbs resurrect and begin to grow a new canopy of leaves. Animals create new life in the warming and awakening of the earth in this season. Earth begins to awaken from its slumber, it remembers the dark and cold nights, where everything rested only to stir up new life as the eyes of nature open wide, signaling new beginnings. Lent is the time for us to be birthed and be born anew. The 9 months in the womb are like the 40 days before Easter. Here we are formed and defined as we grow into the people we were meant to be. It is like seeds, buried in the ground that are shaped into flowers, grass and all things nature puts forth in Spring. Lent is a time for introspection, looking deep within to discover who we truly are as we grow and develop in the wom...
