The Dealership We all know the shock of being rear ended by unexpected trials in life, but there is hope! On May 27, 2026, very recently, I was rear ended hard! All kinds of emotions surfaced. The Dealership
We all know the shock of being rear ended by unexpected trials in life, but there is hope! On May 27, 2026, very recently, I was rear ended hard! All kinds of emotions surfaced. I was concerned about the pain I was experiencing, but the emergency room said I had no broken bones, just very sore muscles. Thank God! I had a 2015 vehicle with low mileage that ran great, so I wasn't motivated to seek out another car. Then my car was totaled, therefore I had to go find another one. I found one at the dealership with updated safety features and technology.
This prompted me to think of God as the Dealership, as well as being the Creator and Owner. Here people depend on the salesperson and the mechanic to help move about in life. God contains all we need, that is, what people seek can be found in this "dealership".
We all want to find something to take us from point A to point Z. From birth until death. We want reliability, safety, and enjoyment in life. Though we try to control the ride (life), it is ultimately the car (God, Jesus, and Spirit) that gets us to our destination.
In God's dealership, Jesus is the good salesperson, that is, the mediator and guide, who shows us the way to find the right fit in life. He guides us in our choices and is happy to have us find what brings us peace of mind. This mediator bridges the gap between us and the owner, helping us out of damaged situations into new horizons.
The Spirit of the Divine, sustainer and restorer, is the honest mechanic who fixes us when we break down, or when our parts (our anxieties, troubles, and concerns) are damaged or malfunctioning. She has all the tools and parts needed to work on our problems, bringing us completion and union with our Creator. Though we don't see the mechanic working and fixing, we see the effects of the work being done interiorly in our souls.
In the Kingdom of our God (the dealership) we find what we need, what we seek, if only we invest the time communicating with the Divine, asking questions, accepting guidance, reading and researching.
When life totals our old way of living, the three aspects of the Divine never leave us stranded. They are always there to give us a safe ride going forward.
The painting reflects the strong emotions felt after being hit!

Cynthia I LOVE this post! That's a great analogy. I find that I am becoming increasingly more attuned to blessings and God's care for me, because of knowing you and reading this blog. 2026 is a tough year for many. You are helping a lot of people, I am sure of that.
