Jesus gave a loud cry and breathed his last. The veil of the sanctuary was torn in two from top to bottom. ~ Mark 15:37-38 Matthew, Mark and Luke all talk about the veil of the temple/sanctuary being torn in half, from top to bottom at Jesus' death. The Temple of Jerusalem was separated by a veil, that is, the innermost part that housed the Holy of Holies was separated from the outer part that encased the temple. The innermost part was only entered by the High Priest on Atonement day. Now because Jesus died, the tearing of the veil allowed God, the Holy of Holies to be accessible to all. What about our souls
Like the angels in the heavens
And the birds in flight
Our souls soar towards the Divine
Morning, noon and night
Our souls are a universe within
Where the unknown resides
Like the ebb and flow of the ocean
In the waves and in the tides
The shells on the beach
House crabs and snails and such
Our bodies in this realm
House our souls that stay in touch
Our souls search endlessly
For what cannot be seen
Seeking high and low
And everywhere in between
We have in our souls a light
Deep inside we find the spark
Created by God to shine
In the daylight and in the dark
I created your soul
Before you were conceived
Says the Spirit of the Universe
Freely given, freely received
The soul then goes on a journey
Of discovery and delight
And it says to her Creator
I will love you eternally
Can't wait to reunite

Lovely! Your words flowed beautifully. I’m sure you wrote this with Michael on your mind. And the colors you used in the path to the heart blend just right! Thanks for sharing.
