When rear ended by life, God provides

                      The Dealership  We all know the shock of being rear ended by unexpected trials in life, but there is hope! On May 27, 2026, very recently, I was rear ended hard! All kinds of emotions surfaced. I was concerned about the pain I was experiencing, but the emergency room said I had no broken bones, just very sore muscles.  Thank God! I had a 2015 vehicle with low mileage that ran great, so I wasn't motivated to seek out another car. Then my car was totaled, therefore I had to go find another one. I found one at the dealership with updated safety features and technology. This prompted me to think of God as the Dealership, as well as being the Creator and Owner. Here people depend on the salesperson and the mechanic to help move about in life. God contains all we need, that is, what people seek can be found in this "dealership". How do I pray in an anxious world

 Make your requests known to God 🙏


Have no anxiety at all, but in everything,  by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your request known to God.  ~ Philippians 4:6

What do you need, God asks of us. What does your spirit need? God wants us to reach out in everything, to ask with sincerity and thanksgiving, to bring us peace in a world filled with anxiety. We all need many things, but it's best to ask, what does my soul need? What does my heart need?

When petitioning God, do not ask for the material but focus on the spiritual. When asking for oneself, request to be given serenity, wisdom and a better understanding of God's love. Ask for direction to be able to lead a life pleasing to the Divine. Ask that your ears listen for God's voice, that your eyes see the goodness in others, that your mouth proclaim the teachings of Jesus, that your hands become his hands and to awaken your soul to understanding God's ways. Ask for inspiration and to be given the courage to seek the Creator with abandon.

When asking for others, pray that they too follow in the footsteps of the mystics, and those who foster goodness and love. Ask that their hearts be opened to Divine guidance. Request that we all become conduits of mercy and of God's love in order to bring about the kingdom of God in the here and now. 

The way to having no anxiety is to pray, speak with God and then trust that our requests will be heard and answered. Petition with gratitude and hope. Ask for spiritual enrichment and direction.

Seek to be nourished in the deepest recesses of our hearts leading us to go forth and learn to love God and neighbor.

    Well stated! The nourishment we seek can come from the Eucharist. Your words bring a calming sense of peace. Thank you.

Joined together in Love

Lent means Spring

  Ash Wednesday  Today is the beginning of Lent which means "Spring". Spring is the time of year where dead things come to life. It means that the seeds that were buried in the ground during the winter grow into flowers. Dead tree limbs resurrect and begin to grow a new canopy of leaves. Animals create new life in the warming and awakening of the earth in this season. Earth begins to awaken from its slumber, it remembers the dark and cold nights, where everything rested only to stir up new life as the eyes of nature open wide, signaling new beginnings. Lent is the time for us to be birthed and be born anew. The 9 months in the womb are like the 40 days before Easter. Here we are formed and defined as we grow into the people we were meant to be.
